ST. JOE RIVER BOWS LAYAWAY PLAN
We decided during the last recession we needed a good layaway plan to help people out with this. Here’s how it works:
If you are purchasing an instock bow (ready made and listed on the website) we need $100 down to get it going. Then simply pay it off within 6 months making payments as they are comfortable for your budget. Once the bow and shipping charges are paid we’ll ship it off to you.
It’s that simple. If you are purchasing a custom longbow or recurve we need $100 down to get it going. You make payments as is comfortable for your budget. Once you achieve 50% of the custom bows purchase price you are put on the production/wait list. My wait list time varies from 4-6 months usually. You continue to make payments and once the bow is completed and you have paid it off, we ship you your custom one of a kind St. Joe River Bow.
In both plans the $100 down is non-refundable. Sorry, this is unfortunately necessary as stock and materials are being held, purchased and tied up which costs us money.

Bow Model Info
Torrent Model vs Classic Model
There are several differences. The length of riser is shorter on the Torrent thus the ratio of riser to working limb is different. The Torrent was designed for longer draw shooters that wanted a shorter longbow or recurve for the hunting situations where a longer bow may be difficult to maneuver. The Torrent models feature longer working limb to shorter riser to achieve this. Torrent longbows thus only come in 56"-60" vs. the Classic longbow that comes in 58"-66". Torrent recurve 54"-56" vs. Classic recurves 58"-64". Our 56" Torrent recurve can be drawn to 31" with no issues. To accommodate a 31" draw in the Classic recurve you would need to choose a 62" or 64".
There are also several similarities. Both Torrent and Classic longbows feature our unique reflex/deflex design that strings up to a perfect longbow D shape. Both models of recurve and longbow are forward handle and have some characteristics of a flat limb bow.
